The current economic environment has made it difficult for many non-profit organizations to raise the necessary funds to maintain their viability. The AAHA Foundation Board of Trustees voted to close the AAHA Helping Pets Fund due to the decline in donations. The Helping Pets Fund allocated all of it’s resouces and closed on June 30th.
Although we are very sad about the closing of the Helping Pets Fund, we are thankful that it has touched so many lives, providing assistance to pets in need, their families, and the veterinary professionals who treat them. Since its inception in 2005, the AAHA Helping Pets Fund has awarded more than $1,000,000 in grants. With these funds, we have provided assistance to more than 4,000 pets that desperately needed help.
Thank all of you who have so generously provided funding to help pets in need.
