Our Pit Bull has had dime sized bumps on the top of her head and on the sides of her body and for about a week and just today the bumps have spread all over her body. We gave her benadryl as directed by the vet and very few of the bumps disappear but reappear the next day. After doing some research it may be either an allergic reaction to bugs, food, or something with her immune system. Is there anything else we can try to give her or is this something that needs to be seen by her vet? Please help, Thank You.

Greetings.
Thank you for your question. Is your dog itchy? When I see " bumps" I often think of a bacterial infection or hair follicle infection which is often itchy. This would be an unusual presentation of an allergy. It would be worth a trip to the vet to determine the cause and best treatment before it gets worse. Usually, infections respond well and quickly to a course of antibiotics.
Do you bathe her often? You should.. .Use a good conditioning shampoo ( not a flea product ) or an antibacterial shampoo from your veterinarian.
That may help
Hope this resolves quickly!
