Dr. Erin Newport, a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, is the Veterinary and Professional Education Manager for the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). At AAHA, Erin plans and organizes continuing education classes for veterinary practices, works with various guidelines task forces and advises members and AAHA staff on current veterinary related issues.
Prior to joining AAHA’s staff, Erin practiced small animal veterinary medicine for over 12 years in Denver, CO. On a personal note, Erin has two sons (Will and Andrew), a Shih-tzu (Mushu) and three cats (Spot, Joe and Bubba).
