Wordless Wednesday: Goodbye Melissa May

by Sarah Rumple on 07/18/2012

Okay, maybe a few words on this Wordless Wednesday.

Last week I blogged about the benefits of pet ownership for children, and I discussed my childhood cat, Melissa, who "rescued" me from my dysfunctional childhood home over and over again. Read the blog post here.

Unfortunately, Melissa went into kidney failure and we had to have her put down this morning.

Goodbye, Melissa. You were an extraordinary cat. Thank you for being my friend during so many difficult times. You will never be forgotten.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a furkid is one of the most difficult things for me, personally.

Prayers for her as she crosses the Bridge...Run Free Melissa...chase the butterflies and roll in the beautiful green meadows.

And prayers that you'll find comfort, in knowing that her life was the best possible...because of your care and love.

I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed the story of her life. Just a few days ago we lost our Sassy who was 17 so I know how hard it is. Thanks for sharing your story!
