We have been treating my dog for 5 weeks for a back issue. He has been on pain meds, muscle relaxers and Steroids. He is still not getting better. Yesterday my Vet applied pressure to his back and he did not respond in pain. She thought maybe something was wrong with his pancreas so we did blood work and it came back negative. We are still doing the above meds with twice a day Steroid plus 1/2 10 miligram pepcid and bland dog food. Do you have any other options?

we actually have two large dogs. One, a 14 year old lab and a 1 year old rotty female. The lab has a history of developing benign tumors on his rear end. They break and bleed. W have had them removed in the past, but this new one seems to be growing along his spine, which would be to dangerous for surgery. We were told by our vet that they are not contageous. (Lab is a male.) My question is my female rotty has developed a boil of some kind on her rear now- it doesn’t look like our other dogs tumors, but can she get a boil? what are they caused from? Thank you.

Maddie hasnt been herself for about a week now. She is still eating and going potty the same old routine. but she will just sit and stare at me with really sad eyes, like she looks like she could cry. she wants to be up close and held all the time now. she lets out little whines and whimpers sometimes. I just don’t know why she has been acting this way. She is left at home with 2 other older dogs that are playful and treat her great. my mom did recently go back to work so they are just hear by themselves so i don’t know if that is part of it as well. I just dont know if i need to take her to get checked out or not.

Chloe has cataracts in both eyes. I have been told that one is inoperable but the other can have surgery - within the next two months. Is cataract surgery in small animals generally successful and how expensive is it?
