Pet Care

What resources are available to help me cope with the loss of my pet?

Answer

Grieving is a necessary, unavoidable, and healthy response to loss. Loss of a loved one or the loss of a pet manifests itself in a similar manner. Feelings of grief resulting from a pet’s loss are normal and may be equally devastating to your family. Without the support of others, you may feel isolated, afraid and overwhelmed. Grief is different for everyone. The length of time required to reach closure and the intensity of your grief will be unique to your situation.
